M: harriet who?

We're all breathing a sigh of relief that we didn't hear the name Alberto Gonzales this morning. The name we did hear however, brings along some questions. Like why should someone who has never been a judge sit on the most powerful court in the nation? Hmmm. I wish I was friends with George. Then maybe I could sit on the Supreme Court too.

Oh well. You can read more about her at
Slate, Wonkette, The New York Times; but really, maybe we should just start reading her own personal blog. Excellent!

We went to Saba for some Ethiopian food on Saturday... mmmmmm! I'd never had Ethiopian before; I was missing out! The food comes all family-style piled on a giant spongy pancake thing and then you eat with your hands and more of the spongy pancake thing for scooping. It was a one of a kind experience, with a wedding reception going on in the next room, and all sorts of crazy music and videos... I think we were probably the only people there not involved with the wedding party, and no doubt we stuck out. But everyone was super friendly and we had a great time. Next weekend - maybe Sherpa food? or
Moroccan?

Relief that we didn't hear the name Alberto Gonzales? GEEEZ! I WISH I HEARD THE NAME Alberto Gonzales! The Supreme Court is the only thing Bush has left to NOT be a total disaster. I'm wondering why he's being so concessionary to the Democrats! I was hoping he'd pick a polarizing character who would squeak by with 51% of the vote. It's ridiculous! Republicans (so called Republicans anyway) have all of the power, and when they're not spending the country into oblivion, they're acting like sissies. Gone are the glory days of Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich.

Newt?! Yeah that contract w/ america is working out well! How many senior republicans will we investigate and indict this year? Delay, Frist, Rove, Liddy, Safavian? Who is next?

It is a relief not to hear Alberto's name because when the next round of Abu Grhaib pitures hit the news he is going to be ass deep in his torture memo, and far from a productive nominee for the supreme court.
