selling out?

so i've been thinking lately about the google ad sense program and how it might be nice to rake in a couple bucks here and there every once in a while. it consists of some small text ads for companies that are meant to reflect the content of this site. it sounds like a good idea, right? they've approved me and all i need to do now is fill out my tax forms and what not and then, bam! there's ads on my site.

i started thinking about that and now i'm thinking that it may not be a good idea after all. wasn't i just bitching about how we're bombarded with ads everywhere we look whether we know it or not? isn't there enough marketing in the world that i don't really need to contribute? is the extra few bucks really worth the contradiction of my ideals?

any advice would be appreciated.
