i'm like an opening band for the sun

To all y'all out there hoping for another political post to create more discussion, you're just going to have to wait. B is still out in the field in P-town, so his posts right now are few and far between. He'll be back posting in a couple weeks.

So for now, I'll just have to bore you with silly little details of my boring life. Like how last night I sooo wanted to join up with my knitting group but I ended up working late, taking the dog to the park, getting the dog thoroughly dirty, giving the dog a bath, etc. By the time all was said and done, I had about 15 minutes to get to Redmond before the coffee shop closed. Thus, I didn't go.

I had this fabulous idea though that I would take pictures of my Hopeful progress, but that didn't work out either, as the camera is still sitting at home in my knitting bag. D'oh!

The
new knitty is up; this seems to be a great improvement from the last issue. There are some really nice patterns, although I've gotten to be very picky about what I knit, and I just don't see anything that screams out to me. Except for Josephine, which looks absolutely gorgeous and I would love to knit it, but 27 balls of yarn at $7 each? Hot damn! I'm not sure if it's a $200 sweater. No, scratch that - I'm positive it's not a $200 sweater. Looks like I'll be doing some digging for substitutions here. Any ideas for a super chunky soft yarn? The gauge is 10.5 sts/4 in on a 7.5 mm needle (approximately a US 10.5).

Cool! I was wondering if Bodie had any enlightening thoughts on the whole Katrina thing.

How about Bollicine Victor? It's the next line I am adding and with double the yardage at about $9.00 skein it's just over half the price. It is a gorgeouse sweater!!
