B: I am a "scientist", are you?

I have had reasons in the past to take issue with Hot Abercrombie Girl (here, and here), but she has a pretty good post up right now about the creation/evolution debate . It is about objective realism and the limits of our educational system. I don't think it gets anywhere, but it is a good elaboration of the difficulties in teaching the concept that your entire experience of the universe is an agreed upon model that is both fluid and changeable, and sometimes controversial. I wonder if she is willing to apply this same level of analysis to her own belief system, but that isn't the point.

If both side of this argument had this level of understanding of the philisophical assumptions surrounding the concepts of God and evolution, this entire argument would never exist.

Oh yeah, it's puppy time!!!

Knowing B, I'd say pit bull, but this little guy looks like he might be a boxer mix. He's not ours, just a ransom puppy picture in a somewhat-regular Friday installment here at Cumulus...

He is listed on http://www.petfinder.org
as a pit bull, but I would guess he is probably a little mix. He sure has the jowls of a boxer.
