B: A long drive for someone with nothing to think about

• New furnace $4,000
• New AC $3,000
• Toilets that flush without filling the backyard with sewage $145
• Coming home to a warm home and happy family....Priceless

We are finally done with the big furnace/AC replacement. We knew it had to be done going in, but we never expected it would take so long or cost quite so much. Turns out that Heating and AC people are generally crooked lying bastards, and if you can find someone that is willing to tell you the truth and put it in writing, then it is going to cost you more...at least up front.

I am heading up to Seattle tomorrow to retrieve a dog, a cat, and 5 x 10 storage unit full of junk and essentials (such as the hardware for half of our furni , and the burr grinder). 740 miles is a long drive inside a car. Even longer with a dog and a cat that hate car rides. I don't know where we are going to put all of the crap from the storage unit, but we will figure it out.
