spying on pandas
Has anyone else seen this spy school reality show on PBS? It's made by the BBC, and as someone who hates to love reality TV, I do believe it is quite good (as in, I'm not ashamed to admit that I like it). They started with eight normal people and put them in a spy school where they trained and tested them on super cool sneaky spy-style stuff. They made them (on the first day) do that test just like the one in Spy Game where Robert Redford tells Brad Pitt to go get on some random person's balcony and have a cup of coffee. A few of them actually pulled it off! It's almost over now, but y'all should check it out if you happen to find it. It's on PBS here Thursdays at 9. I don't think I could ever be a spy. Again, back to geology.
Part of me thinks that I should post something about the Katrina tragedy, but I think we've all seen enough images and heard enough news about it that my two cents here isn't worth much. All I'll say about it is that it's really too bad that the government response has been so lacking. Apparently it's easier for this administration to buck up when there's an actual enemy to fight.
Okay enough of that. It's Friday, and there's a long weekend ahead. It will be full of bumbershoots, knitting, garage cleaning, and lots of lounging around.
And to end on a good note, here's another baby panda cam.

Caught SPY last night and suddenly lost 2 hours of my life on the couch. Very cool little show. Only the British could pull something like that off and not even offer a prize at the end. If havent seen the last episode yet, you're in for a treat. It's called "End Game." I am a sucker for all that spy crap...
